



Some parents and swimmers have mentioned not receiving "tweets" on their phones. Twitter posted the following regarding this issue:

If your phone is verified and on, and you have text notifications set to ON for people you follow, you should receive an update when they post a tweet.
Twitter sends and receives an extremely high volume of tweets each day. We're now sending and receiving so many that we're occasionally exceeding carrier limits. When this happens, we're unable to deliver more text messages to that carrier or phone for a short period of time. If you're not receiving all tweets via text, this is most likely why.
We're currently working with carriers to come up with a better solution for everyone. (More tweets for all!) In the meantime, intermittent missed tweets on your phone should be expected. Try using our mobile site (m.twitter.com) or catching up on the web if you think you've missed something. Thanks for your patience!
